“I didn’t learn to be quiet when I had an opinion, The reason they knew who I was because I told them” - Ursula Burns

Most of us are young and towards our journey to be ‘Someone’ or ‘Somewhere’. But have you ever realised that being a Girl makes you a 2nd class citizen in this Journey. In a world full of stereotypes and favorites, this is something usual to admit.

Though this is something too pessimistic to start with. But what else can be expressed when you are all done with being ‘Patient Pearl’.

It is indefinite to find how many girls came across this feeling. And if they did, so how many worked on it and how many ignored it. Probably there are more chances for the first possibility.

But the most disappointing thing is the trending culture of ‘Mocking Girls Online’ on their IQ and behaviour. I came across one recently.

So basically in this meme, a question has been put up that where are the brilliant girls of our schools when most of the CEOs in the corporate world are Man.

Though there are many reasons to give:

  • Girls are Sexually Assaulted and Die. Hence most of them don’t even grow to Learn the Full Form of CEO.
  • Girls are asked to settle down in a profession which is more suitable for a housewife. ( Since all the other jobs are part time for them )
  • Girls have been asked by their in-laws to leave their job in the metropolitan since ‘Ladke ki Sarkari Naukri hai Tehsil mai’.
  • Girls are like magnets to rapists hence shall come inside their home before dark.
  • And how could the poor boy take care of the kids. A girl has to fight parenthood like a lone wolf.

Uff!!! I mean does even Google’s CEO have to look after so many issues. I’m not trying to play the Women Card for low numbers of Women Senior Executive in the Corporate. But all I m saying is that it’s high time to stop all the anti-feminist jokes online. Just look around the women in your house and in your Aura. Picturise them in that meme. Ask them, “why are you not a CEO? ”. Ask your MOM, why are you not a CEO. You Dare to ask her.

Can we for once stop the culture for mocking women online. They have been going through enough in their real life.

And actually this ‘Mocking Culture’ even encourages other discrimination factors which Hinders Women’s Growth Professionally. Because subconsciously, it is gonna be on people’s mind forever. Irrespective of all the above mentioned reasons, the most dreadful is the Fear of being a loser. Which our society and now Social Media has been inculcating on Young Girls.

There are 24 Women CEOs in the Forbes 500 Fortune Company. It’s like 5% of the total companies.

And to worsen the situation many discriminatory factors are there to push back Women employees. For example, women have been considered sensitive for centuries and therefore ludicrously being penalised as Inefficient Leaders. But on the same hand if she is a Great Decision maker so is considered Impulsive and emotional.

It would be really kind if the Corporate world puts an end to this Serotype since it’s the only field where the growth of the Women is ridiculously slow.

Our society needs more of Indra Nooyi, Shikha Sharma, Mallika Srinivasan.

One cannot prepare a Great Building with just Bricks. It will require a lot of Planning, Organising and the final Execution with the right Texture. Hence Feminist Speeches are not enough, we need to fight all these factors from the roots cause.

And yet I say, Feminist Speeches are not enough but are required massively for sure!!!!!
